BOBBY’S STORY

About Brennen and This Site

Bobby’s Crash Foundation was created after a catastrophic crash involving our son, Brennen Neblung.

On September 28, 2025, a single decision changed his life—and ours—forever.

Brennen, a Midwest-raised graduate of Northeast High School and a proud member of the Iowa National Guard serving as a  Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic, sustained critical injuries in a crash in Clinton County, Iowa. He was airlifted for emergency care, underwent multiple surgeries, and was diagnosed with a severe traumatic brain injury along with significant orthopedic trauma.

He survived.

Today, Brennen is home. He is back to driving and working to regain independence. But survival does not mean unchanged. He continues ongoing medical care, physical rehabilitation, and therapeutic support. Additional surgeries remain ahead. While he looks strong and determined, there are permanent effects and lifelong unknowns that will always be part of his journey.

“This foundation exists because crashes do not end when the sirens stop. The consequences are physical, emotional, and financial—and they last far beyond the moment of impact.”

Bobby’s Crash Foundation uses Brennen’s real story, real injuries, and the actual crash vehicle to deliver a direct message: decisions behind the wheel matter. Speed, distraction, and reckless choices can alter a life in seconds.

Brennen plans to be an active voice in this mission. He understands better than anyone how quickly everything can change, and he is committed to helping others pause and think before making a choice they cannot take back.

If his story causes one driver to slow down, put the phone away, or make a safer decision, then this foundation is doing its job.

One decision changed his life.
Our mission is to change others before it’s too late.
